Inspection Services

Great Plains Towers can provide trained inspectors for an annual physical inspection of each tower site. Over the past 40 years we have earned a reputation for quality, reliability and attention to detail.

During a typical inspection, we inspect and report on the following:

  • The condition of beacon lamps, strobe flash tubes and other lamps, replacing every bulb to ensure continued compliance with FAA guidelines
  • The physical condition of the tower, guy wires, antennas, feed lines and other components
  • Cracks which may have formed in the concrete base supporting the tower, sealing them as needed or requested
  • The above-ground condition of all anchor shafts, applying a layer of tar from top to bottom for added protection
  • The tension levels on all guy wires, adjusting them as needed or requested
  • The voltage levels of the anodes connected to each anchor shaft, to ensure corrosion-safe levels
  • The condition of all bolts, nuts and welds, securing any loose bolts and nuts as we go, and checking for faulty welds along the tower
  • Damage to the fence surrounding the tower and anchors, repairing it as needed or requested
